Designed with specific materials and construction features to withstand service down to −196°C (−320.8°F), maintaining structural integrity and sealing capability under the extreme thermal conditions typical of liquefied gas handling.
LNG Certified
Certified to EN ISO 28921-1 and EN ISO 28921-2 — the dedicated international standard for low temperature isolating valves for LNG service. Fire Safe certification to API 607, ISO 10497, and API 6FA is also available.
Resistance to Severe Thermal Cycling
Engineered to maintain reliable sealing and structural integrity through repeated thermal cycling, a critical requirement for liquefaction, storage, and regasification systems where temperature fluctuations are constant.

Our Role & Capabilities

Indra manufactures cryogenic valves entirely in-house at our Italian facility near Milan, with a dedicated cryogenic test tank for both production and prototype testing — one of the few valve manufacturers capable of conducting this testing with internal personnel and equipment.

Our cryogenic ball valves are available in all design configurations — SB, SBB, DB, and DBB — in both Floating and Trunnion types, with the side entry available as one-piece integral or split body. This range covers the full spectrum of cryogenic service requirements, from standard LNG isolation to the most demanding subsea and offshore cryogenic installations.

For needle valves and monoblock/monoflange products, cryogenic and low-temperature versions are engineered with specific design features and materials to withstand extreme conditions and ensure safe and efficient operation, including resistance to the severe thermal cycling typical of LNG liquefaction and storage systems.

All cryogenic products are supported by in-house fugitive emission testing certified to ISO 15848 and AP| 641, ensuring that fugitive emissions are controlled to the levels required by the most stringent environmental regulations applicable to LNG and liquefied gas facilities.

Every Indra cryogenic valve undergoes rigorous in-house testing including cryogenic testing for both production and prototype, high-pressure gas testing up to 15,000 PSI in our dedicated bunker, fugitive emission validation, and complete NDT inspection (PMI, UT, DP, MP). This comprehensive quality assurance ensures reliable performance in the most demanding low-temperature environments worldwide.
