What is a HIPPS?
A HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protection System) is a safety instrumented system used in the process industry to prevent line overpressures. The system promptly isolates the line through electronic devices that interact with the instrumentation, preventing damage caused by events that cannot be managed by normal operation or wrong action of the operator.
It is a fully automated system capable of mitigating potential hazards, providing economic advantages (saving manufacturing and maintenance costs), environmental advantages (reducing emissions), and safety advantages (eliminating human intervention).
Indra’s Interlocking Manifold meets IEC 61508 requirements for Safety Integrity Level 4, ensuring maximum protection and reliability in critical applications.

The interlocking manifold is supplied in a standard protective enclosure suitable for extreme environmental conditions (tropical, pluvial, and polar) to guarantee protection of the instrumentation from external atmospheric events and possible tampering.
