2oo3 Interlocking Manifold

Complete system-level redundancy for ultimate safety integrity

What is 2oo3 Voting Logic?

The 2oo3 (2-out-of-3) configuration is a redundant safety architecture where the system requires at least two out of three independent sensors to detect a hazardous condition before initiating a shutdown. This voting logic provides optimal balance between safety and availability.

Unlike single-sensor systems that can cause spurious trips or fail dangerously, the 2oo3 architecture tolerates a single sensor failure while maintaining full safety protection. If one sensor fails or provides a false reading, the system continues normal operation while alerting operators to the fault.

Key principle: Two independent confirmations are required for shutdown, eliminating false trips while ensuring that a single point failure cannot compromise safety.

✓ Optimal balance: maximum safety with minimal spurious trips

Sold as Complete Set

Unlike the 1oo1 arrangement, the 2oo3 configuration is supplied as a single integrated assembly housed within one enclosure, complete with manifold and specified accessories for simplified installation and maintenance.

Key Features

Fault Tolerance

Tolerates single sensor failure without compromising safety or requiring shutdown. System continues operation while alerting maintenance to the fault.

DBB (Double Block & Bleed)

Integrated double isolation with vent capability for safe sensor maintenance and calibration without system shutdown.

Spurious Trip Reduction

Eliminates false shutdowns from single sensor malfunctions, reducing operational downtime and production losses.

SIL 4 Certified

Meets the highest safety integrity level per IEC 61508, ensuring maximum protection in critical applications.
