DBB Sampling & Injection Ball Valves

Integral-type design for safe process sampling and controlled chemical injection while the process remains pressurized and in operation

What Are DBB Sampling & Injection Ball Valves?

Sampling DBB Valves are used for sampling purposes and further analysis of the process. The sampling can be performed while the process is pressurized and in operation at its normal design conditions.

Injection DBB Valves are specialized process valves designed for the safe and controlled introduction of chemicals or other media into a process stream. They combine the critical safety features of a traditional DBB valve with an integrated mechanism for injection.

Integral type sampling and injection DBB valves are a specific category where the valve body and the connection to the process line are often combined or designed as a single, compact unit. Their specific design makes them particularly suitable for applications where sample integrity and safety are paramount.

Key Features

Live Process Sampling

Sampling can be performed while the process is pressurized and in full operation at normal design conditions — no shutdown required.

Controlled Chemical Injection

Injection DBB valves allow the safe and controlled introduction of chemicals or other media into a pressurized process stream, combining DBB safety features with an integrated injection mechanism.

Integral Design

The valve body and process line connection are combined in a single compact unit, minimizing dead space and preventing sample contamination to ensure representative sample extraction.

Leak-Tight Connection

Robust and leak-tight process connection design ensures safe operation when extracting samples or injecting media into pressurized systems.

Configuration Options

Ball valves can be customized to meet your specific requirements:

Function

• Sampling DBB
• Injection DBB

Type

• Integral
• Split Body

End Connections

• Integral / Welding-Free
• Threaded
• Welding Ends
• Flanged

Applications

Ball Valves are the ideal choice for:

Process sampling while in service — representative sample extraction from pressurized streams without process interruption

Chemical injection — safe and controlled introduction of inhibitors, biocides, or other chemicals into a live process stream

Applications requiring minimum dead space to prevent sample contamination and ensure analytical accuracy design replaces separate valve assemblies

Services where sample integrity and operator safety are critical — integral design eliminates external joints at the process connection
