In-line Needle Valves

Straight-through flow design for direct integration in process lines

What Are In-Line Needle Valves?

In-line needle valves are precision flow control devices designed to be installed directly within a straight run of piping or tubing. The inlet and outlet ports are aligned on the same axis (180 degrees apart), allowing fluid to enter and exit along a straight path.

This configuration is ideal for standard pressure measurement points where the piping layout is already linear, eliminating the need for additional elbows or fittings.

Common applications include: pressure gauge isolation, transmitter isolation in straight runs, and standard process instrumentation where the flow path follows the pipe direction.

Key Features

Straight-Through Flow

The inlet and outlet connections are aligned on the same axis (180 degrees), allowing direct flow with minimal pressure drop.

Direct Integration into Process Lines

Designed for installation directly into straight sections of piping or tubing, eliminating the need for additional fittings when the system layout is already linear.

Butt Weld and Socket Weld Options

Available with BW (Butt Weld) and SW (Socket Weld) end connections for high-integrity permanent welded installations. BW ends are specified according to the pipe schedule and pressure rating.

Vent Design Available

Available with an integrated vent screw, allowing safe depressurization of the instrument side without the need for additional components.

Where In-Line Valves Excel

In-line needle valves are the ideal choice for:

Pressure gauge isolation in straight pipe runs

Transmitter isolation where linear flow is required

Standard process instrumentation without directional changes

Applications where pipe routing is already linear and space permits
