Multiport Needle Valves

Multiple-connection design for economical pressure instrument mounting with vent and drain in a single body

What Are In-Line Needle Valves?

Multiport needle valves are a specialized type of needle valve designed to control or distribute fluid flow to or from several different points within a system. Unlike standard two-way valves (in-line or angle), a multiport valve features more than two connections (ports) on its body.

They are an economical solution for pressure instrument mounting, including vent and additional connections or drainage channels, in the piping or systems where they are applied.

Especially suited for: simultaneous use of a standard gauge and pressure gauge, or pressure gauge combined with a transmitter, in a single compact body.

Key Features

Multiple Ports in One Body

More than two connections on a single body allow simultaneous connection of pressure gauge, transmitter, vent, and additional drain channels, eliminating extra fittings and assemblies

Economical Solution

Integrates isolation, venting, and additional connections in one compact unit, reducing material costs, installation time, and the number of potential leak sources.

Two Body Lengths

Available in standard (L 110 mm) and extended (L 194 mm) body lengths to accommodate different instrument spacing and installation requirements.

Weld-End Availability

Butt weld (BW) and socket weld (SW) inlet options allow direct integration into pipework, with pressure rating determined by pipe schedule and rating.

Configuration Options

Multiport needle valves can be customized to meet your specific requirements:

Bonnet Types

• Standard Screwed
• OS&Y (Outside Screw & Yoke)
• Bolted Bonnet
• Extended (for cryogenic)

Special Features

• Lockable operators
• Anti-tamper design
• Oxygen / Hydrogen service
• Fire safe version

End Connections

• Threaded (NPT) F/T-F/T
• Butt Weld – F/T
• Socket Weld – F/T
• Custom configurations

Where In-Line Valves Excel

Angle body needle valves are the ideal choice for:

Simultaneous gauge and transmitter connection on the same process tap

Pressure instrument mounting requiring integrated vent and drain in a single body

Applications requiring multiple instrument connections with minimal piping complexity

Installations with weld-end requirements (butt weld or socket weld process connections)
